Reinforcing its commitment to community health and preventive healthcare, National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO), through its Smelter and Power (S&P) Complex at Anugola, organised a Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination campaign in association with the Community Health Centre (CHC), Banarpal, as part of the nationwide drive to prevent cervical cancer. The initiative saw 80 girls in the 14-year age group receive a single dose of the quadrivalent HPV vaccine.

The campaign reflects NALCO's sustained commitment to corporate social responsibility by promoting awareness and access to life-saving preventive healthcare.

HPV vaccination is widely recognised as one of the most effective measures to prevent cervical cancer, a major public health concern among women. By facilitating immunisation at the community level, NALCO has contributed to safeguarding the health of adolescent girls while supporting the Government's efforts to expand HPV vaccine coverage across the country.
