NTPC Bongaigaon has added another feather to its cap by securing two
prestigious national awards, reaffirming its unwavering commitment to
operational excellence, workplace safety, environmental stewardship and
meaningful community development initiatives.
The station was conferred the Gold Category in the OHS&E Excellence
Award 2026 by the International Business Conference (IBC) in recognition of its
outstanding performance in Occupational Health, Safety and Environment
(OHS&E) management practices. The award was received by Rajiv Ranjan,
AGM (Safety), on behalf of the station, reflecting NTPC Bongaigaon’s sustained
focus on creating a safe, efficient and environmentally responsible workplace
ecosystem.
Further strengthening its credentials as a socially responsible corporate
entity, NTPC Bongaigaon was also honoured with the 12th Greentech CSR Award
2026 in the category of Healthcare Promotion (Rural). The award recognises the
station’s continuous efforts to enhance healthcare accessibility and improve
community well-being through impactful and inclusive CSR interventions in rural
areas. The award was received by Ms. Smriti Das, Executive (CSR, LA &
R&R).
The awards were subsequently presented to Arnab Maitra, Head of Project, NTPC Bongaigaon, who congratulated the Safety and CSR teams for their dedication, professionalism and collective efforts that contributed to these remarkable achievements. He appreciated the unwavering commitment of employees and stakeholders in maintaining high standards of safety, environmental management and community engagement, and encouraged the teams to continue striving for excellence across all operational spheres.
These national recognitions underscore NTPC Bongaigaon’s consistent emphasis on safety, sustainability and social responsibility, further reinforcing its position as a responsible corporate citizen committed to powering the nation while creating a positive and lasting impact on society.
