NTPC Limited Bongaigaon initiated Swachhta Pakhwada 2026 with a collective pledge ceremony held on Saturday at the Administrative Building of the station. The programme marked commencement of the fortnight observance aimed at promoting cleanliness, hygiene, environmental awareness, and sustainable practices among employees and local community also.

Arnab Maitra, Head of Project, NTPC Bongaigaon, administered the Swachhta Pledge in presence of Anurag Gupta, GM (O&M), representatives of unions and associations, senior officials, employees, and station stakeholders today.

Employees collectively reaffirmed their commitment to maintain cleanliness in workplaces, residential areas, and surrounding communities.

Observed from 16th -31st May 2026, Swachhta Pakhwada 2026 aims to encourage active participation in cleanliness initiatives and reinforce spirit of “Swachh Bharat.” also

The inaugural programme witnessed enthusiastic employee participation, who pledged to contribute towards creating a cleaner, healthier, and greener environment also.

As part of the observance, a series of activities including cleanliness drives, awareness campaigns, plantation initiatives, waste management awareness programmes, and community outreach activities are planned to be organized across plant premises, township, schools, and nearby villages also.

The initiatives aim to sensitize employees and citizens on importance of sanitation, hygiene, and environmental responsibility also.

NTPC Notre Dame Academy, NTPC Bongaigaon, also observed commencement of Swachhta Pakhwada with students participating in Swachhta Pledge ceremony today also.

Sister Manju Joseph, Principal of the school, administered the pledge and encouraged students to uphold values of cleanliness, discipline, and environmental consciousness in their daily lives also.

The observance reflects NTPC Bongaigaon’s continued commitment towards environmental sustainability, employee engagement, and community participation in line with vision of a clean, green, and sustainable India also.
