NTPC Bongaigaon has added another feather to its cap by securing the
prestigious Regional Professional Circle Award (ER-II) for its innovative
digital initiative titled “SAHAYOGEE – Synchronising the Site Digitally,”
reinforcing the station’s growing reputation as a hub of operational innovation
and process excellence.
The award was presented by Arindam Sinha, Regional Executive Director
(ER-II and SR), NTPC Limited, in the presence of senior officials from the
ER-II region, recognising the project’s impact on strengthening digital
integration and accountability across site operations.
The award-winning concept was jointly presented by Shri Uddipan Pal,
Senior Manager (TMD), and Shri Satyam Boral, Assistant Manager (BMD). Their
initiative focuses on creating a seamless digital ecosystem through a
user-friendly mobile application designed to streamline field-level activities
and improve coordination among departments.
The SAHAYOGEE platform enables end-to-end digitisation of critical site
functions, including material tracking, equipment history management, safety
case documentation, monitoring of non-moving inventory, inter-departmental
material movement, vehicle requisition, and consumable usage. By replacing
manual processes with real-time digital workflows, the system enhances
efficiency, transparency, traceability, and knowledge management across
operations at NTPC Bongaigaon.
Following this regional recognition, Uddipan Pal and Satyam Boral will
represent NTPC Bongaigaon at the Corporate Level Professional Circle Meet,
where the SAHAYOGEE project will compete on the organisation’s highest
innovation platform.
The accomplishment underscores NTPC Bongaigaon’s sustained commitment to digital transformation, operational excellence, and grassroots innovation, while fostering a culture that encourages employees to develop technology-driven solutions for improving systems and processes.
The Professional Circle (PC) programme within NTPC serves as a structured institutional mechanism to promote innovation, collaborative problem-solving, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement across stations and functional domains, enabling the organisation to strengthen performance through employee-led initiatives.
