Young engineering and management students will get an opportunity to put their business acumen, analytical skills and knowledge to the test as NTPC Limited, India’s largest integrated power utility, hosts the Mumbai Regional Round of NTPC Electron Quiz 2026–27 on September 17. Organised as a national-level knowledge initiative, the quiz seeks to nurture curiosity, sharpen analytical thinking and foster a spirit of healthy competition among the country’s young minds.

The Mumbai Regional Round will be held at Bharat Ratnam – Mega CFC, Gate Nos. 4 & 5, 6th Floor, SEEPZ Special Economic Zone, Andheri (East), Mumbai – 400096.

This year’s quiz is themed “Anything and Everything from the World of Business and Management” and will challenge participants’ knowledge and understanding across diverse facets of business and management. Each participating team will comprise two students pursuing Engineering or Management programmes.

The Regional Round will commence with a Written Round, followed by an On-stage Multimedia Regional Finale featuring the top six teams. The top two teams from the Mumbai Regional Round will earn a place in the National Level of the competition.

The winning team at the Regional Round will receive a cash prize of ₹60,000, while the runner-up and third-placed teams will be awarded ₹40,000 and ₹20,000, respectively. Teams finishing fourth, fifth and sixth will receive ₹8,000 each. Students attending the quiz will also have the opportunity to win audience prizes.

At the National Level, the winning team will receive ₹1,00,000, while the second- and third-placed teams will receive ₹60,000 and ₹40,000, respectively. Consolation prizes will also be awarded to other qualifying teams.

There is no registration or participation fee, and institutions may nominate multiple teams. Interested students can register through the designated registration link or submit their details via email at [email protected]. The last date for registration is September 15, 2026.

NTPC has been organising the Electron Quiz since 2004 as part of its continued engagement with the student community. Over the years, the initiative has provided young students with a platform to expand their knowledge, strengthen analytical and decision-making abilities, and experience the excitement of competitive quizzing.
