Reinforcing its
commitment to inclusive growth and social empowerment, Uttra Club, Lucknow,
under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives of NTPC Northern
Region Headquarters (NRHQ), organized a programme to distribute motorised
tricycles to persons with locomotor disabilities, enabling them to lead more
independent and dignified lives.
The initiative is
aimed at enhancing the mobility of persons with disabilities, reducing their
dependence on others, promoting independent living, and empowering them to
become self-reliant members of society.
On the occasion,
Seema Kaushik, President of Uttra Club, interacted with the beneficiaries and
appreciated their views on how the initiative would benefit them. She extended
her heartfelt best wishes to all the beneficiaries and encouraged them to move
forward with confidence, determination, and self-belief.
The programme was
attended by S. N. Panigrahi, Executive Director (HR), NR & SR; Rahul
Sharma, AGM (HR); members of the Uttra Club Committee, and employees of the HR
Department. The dignitaries appreciated the initiative and reiterated NTPC's
commitment to empowering and including persons with disabilities through
meaningful CSR interventions, reaffirming the organisation's focus on creating
sustainable social impact while fostering an inclusive and equitable future.
