The NTPC Northern Region
Headquarters (NRHQ) has distributed educational learning kits to 50 Anganwadi
centres across Lucknow city under its CSR initiative, following a proposal by
the District Magistrate (DM), Lucknow.
The distribution drive was
carried out under the guidance of S. N. Panigrahi, Chief General Manager (HR),
NRHQ Lucknow, in the presence of Shreyansh Maurya, District Programme Officer
(DPO), Lucknow, and Vijai Tiwari, CDPO.
The initiative is aimed at
making early childhood learning more engaging and enjoyable for children
attending Anganwadi centres. Each kit comprises nineteen educational and play
items, including chairs, moon tables, blocks, puzzles, tricycles, plastic
balls, clay, rings, storybooks, alphabet books, fruit and animal learning sets,
and educational maps.
Speaking on the occasion,
Panigrahi appreciated the initiative of the Uttar Pradesh Government in
empowering children through education. He stated that NTPC is proud to be
associated with such efforts that help build the future generation through
learning. He also interacted with Anganwadi workers and supervisors to
understand their aspirations and challenges in managing the centres.
In the recent past, NTPC NRHQ was felicitated by the Uttar Pradesh Government for its support to the initiative.
