In a landmark moment for Odisha’s public relations and
communication fraternity, the State is set to enter the national spotlight as
Bhubaneswar prepares to host the 48th
All India Public Relations Conference-2026 (AIPRC-2026) — the prestigious
flagship gathering of India’s public relations community. Marking a historic
first in the conference’s nearly five-decade journey, the event will bring
together some of the country’s leading voices in public relations, corporate
communication, media, government, business and academia, placing Odisha at the
centre of a vital national conversation on the future of communication.
Odisha Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati on Thursday
unveiled the official poster and brochure of AIPRC-2026 at a special ceremony
held at Lok Bhavan, Bhubaneswar, formally setting the stage for the three-day
national conference scheduled to be held from December 25 to 27, 2026, in
Bhubaneswar.
Organised by the Public
Relations Society of India (PRSI) and hosted by the PRSI Bhubaneswar Chapter, AIPRC-2026 promises to be far more than a
professional congregation. It is envisioned as a national platform where
technology meets human insight, innovation converges with ethics, and India’s
rich cultural identity finds resonance with the rapidly transforming landscape
of Artificial Intelligence.
Releasing the poster and brochure, Governor Dr. Hari Babu
Kambhampati, said, “It is a matter of immense pride that Odisha is hosting the
All India Public Relations Conference for the very first time. The theme,
Navagunjara, beautifully captures the essence of our rich cultural heritage
while embracing the transformative potential of Artificial Intelligence. I
extend my best wishes to the Public Relations Society of India and the PRSI
Bhubaneswar Chapter for the successful organisation of this prestigious
conference. I look forward to welcoming communication professionals and experts
from across the country to the temple city.”
The historic hosting of the conference by Odisha comes for
the first time in its nearly five-decade history, underscoring the growing
stature of the State and Bhubaneswar as an emerging hub of innovation,
communication and knowledge. The conference is expected to draw communication
professionals, corporate leaders, media practitioners, government
representatives, academicians, policymakers and other stakeholders from across
India.
The theme of AIPRC-2026, “NAVAGUNJARA – Public Relations in the Age of AI”, draws inspiration
from Odisha’s iconic Navagunjara
motif, a powerful symbol of diverse forms coming together to create a
harmonious whole. Aptly reflecting the changing dynamics of communication, the
theme seeks to explore how human intelligence and Artificial Intelligence can
coexist with creativity, ethics, cultural understanding and empathy to shape
trust, credibility and reputation in an increasingly technology-driven world.
For the PRSI Bhubaneswar Chapter, the opportunity to host
this prestigious national conference represents a significant milestone and a
powerful affirmation of its role in advancing the public relations profession
in Odisha. With AIPRC-2026, the Chapter is poised to provide a national
platform for dialogue, knowledge-sharing and professional networking while showcasing
Odisha’s distinctive identity, achievements and hospitality to delegates from
across the country.
The unveiling ceremony was attended by senior national and
regional office-bearers of PRSI, including PRSI National President Dr. Ajit
Pathak, Secretary General Dr. PLK Murthy, Convenor of the Conference Dr. Sanjay
Kumar Sahoo, Co-Convenor Krushna Chandra Mahapatra and Treasurer of the Chapter
Ansuman Pattnayak.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Ajit Pathak, National
President, PRSI, said, “AIPRC-2026 will explore the opportunities presented by
Artificial Intelligence while reaffirming the ethical, cultural and human
values that remain central to effective public relations. Bhubaneswar, with its
rich heritage and emerging profile as a centre of innovation, is an ideal
setting for this important national dialogue.”
The conference will also offer delegates an opportunity to
experience the many facets of Odisha’s distinctive cultural heritage, art,
traditions and hospitality. From its timeless civilisational legacy to its
emerging identity as a centre of technology and innovation, Odisha is set to
provide an inspiring backdrop to a conference that seeks to redefine the
contours of public relations in the AI era.
With NAVAGUNJARA as its guiding philosophy and the PRSI
Bhubaneswar Chapter at the helm, AIPRC-2026
is poised to become a memorable confluence of professional excellence,
technological innovation, human values and Odisha’s vibrant cultural heritage —
opening a new chapter in India’s public relations journey.
