The Odisha government on Friday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages (HCCB) for expansion of its manufacturing facility at Khordha, in a move aimed at strengthening the state's food processing and beverage manufacturing ecosystem.

The MoU was exchanged between Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and representatives of HCCB, including Chief Financial Officer Harsh Bhutani and Chief Public Affairs, Communications & Sustainability Officer Himanshu Priyadarshi, during Odisha FoodPro 2026 in New Delhi.

The event was organised by the Government of Odisha in association with the Industrial Promotion and Investment Corporation of Odisha (IPICOL).

The exchange took place in the presence of Industries Minister of State (Independent Charge) Sampad Chandra Swain, Additional Chief Secretary, Industries Department, Hemant Sharma, Managing Director, IDCO, D. Prashanth Kumar Reddy, and Director of Industries and Managing Director, IPICOL (additional charge), Aboli Sunil Naravane.

The proposed investment marks another significant milestone in Odisha's efforts to attract large-scale manufacturing investments and consolidate its position as a preferred destination for industrial development.

The expansion of HCCB's Khordha manufacturing facility is expected to support industrial activity and contribute to the state's long-term economic growth, while strengthening the food processing and beverage ecosystem.

HCCB has maintained a strong presence in Odisha through its manufacturing operations at Khordha. The proposed expansion will further enhance the company's manufacturing footprint in the state, support growing consumer demand and align with Odisha's vision of emerging as a leading destination for manufacturing and industrial investment.

The development comes as Odisha steps up efforts to attract investments across key manufacturing and food processing sectors, with the state seeking to leverage its industrial infrastructure and investment-friendly ecosystem to drive economic growth and employment.
