Odisha Chief Minister
Mohan Charan Majhi on Friday invited UAE investors to partner in the state’s
next phase of industrial development, pitching opportunities across green
energy, artificial intelligence data centres, rare earths, LNG storage and
several other emerging sectors.
Addressing the Odisha
Investment Summit–UAE 2026 in Dubai, Majhi showcased Odisha’s natural
resources, strategic ports, industrial infrastructure, skilled workforce and
investor-friendly ecosystem before around 400 business leaders, investors and
representatives of the UAE business community.
The Chief Minister
called upon UAE investors to become partners in Odisha’s growth journey, with
the state seeking to attract fresh capital, technology and industrial expertise
while creating new employment opportunities.
Investment
opportunities were discussed across a wide range of sectors, including LNG
storage, green energy, AI data centres, rare earths, ship repair, propellant
manufacturing, fertilisers and chemicals, housing, steel and downstream
industries.
Industries Minister
Sampad Chandra Swain highlighted the state government’s “Speed, Certainty and
Execution” approach and assured prospective investors of support at every stage
of project development.
The roadshow brought
together senior Odisha government officials, Indian diplomatic representatives
and leading UAE industrialists, providing a platform for discussions on
strengthening economic and industrial cooperation between Odisha and the UAE.
The Dubai investment outreach is expected to deepen Odisha-UAE economic ties and open up fresh avenues for investment, technology transfer, industrial expansion and employment generation in the state.
The state government is positioning Odisha as an attractive destination for investors seeking access to natural resources, ports, industrial infrastructure and a growing ecosystem for new-age industries.
