Odisha Chief Minister
Mohan Charan Majhi on Thursday held talks with UAE Cabinet Member and Minister
of Economy and Tourism Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri to explore fresh investment
opportunities and strengthen economic ties between the state and the Gulf
nation.
During the meeting, Majhi
highlighted Odisha's favourable business environment, robust industrial
ecosystem and significant investment potential across key sectors, while
inviting UAE-based investors to explore opportunities and set up projects in
the state.
The discussions focused
on deepening economic and investment cooperation between Odisha and the UAE,
with particular emphasis on identifying new avenues for investment and
expanding business partnerships.
Majhi underlined the
state's strengths as an emerging investment destination and said Odisha offers
a conducive ecosystem for investors across a range of sectors.
The UAE minister, who also chairs the Council of International Investments, met the Odisha chief minister as part of the state's efforts to strengthen its engagement with global investors and attract greater foreign investment.
The meeting assumes significance as Odisha seeks to leverage its industrial base, business-friendly environment and sectoral opportunities to forge stronger economic partnerships with the UAE.
