Demonstrating operational excellence
and logistics efficiency, Paradip Port Authority (PPA) has achieved a
remarkable milestone by recording its highest-ever single-day thermal coal
unloading. On March 25, 2026, Team PPA successfully handled 50 rakes, including
43 BOBRN (Bogie Open Bottom Rapid Discharge) and 7 BOXN (Bogie Open High Sided)
rakes, setting a new benchmark in cargo handling performance.
The achievement highlights the port’s
strong commitment to efficiency, seamless coordination, and robust
infrastructure that supports high-volume cargo operations within demanding
timelines. The record reflects the effectiveness of synchronized planning and
the continuous enhancement of operational processes aimed at improving
turnaround time and productivity.
PPA Chairman P. L. Haranadh appreciated
the dedicated efforts of Team PPA and highlighted that such milestones are a
result of meticulous planning, improved turnaround times, and continuous
process optimization across operations.
