A spirit of patriotism, pride and community service resonated
across the industrial landscape of Kalinganagar as Tata Steel Kalinganagar
(TSK) and Neelachal Ispat Nigam (NINL) celebrated the 80th Independence Day
with great fervour and enthusiasm at their respective plant premises in
Danagadi block of Jajpur district on Saturday.
At Tata Steel Kalinganagar, the celebrations commenced with
the hoisting of the National Flag by Uttam Singh, Vice President (Operations),
Tata Steel Kalinganagar, in the presence of senior officials of TSK, members of
the Tata Steel Kalinganagar Workers’ Union and community representatives. The
occasion reflected the collective pride of employees and stakeholders in the
nation’s journey and the organisation’s commitment to contributing to India’s
growth.
The gathering was spell-bound by an impressive parade and
drill presented by the Security team, showcasing discipline, precision and
dedication. The ceremony concluded with the felicitation of security and fire
safety personnel in recognition of their exemplary performance and unwavering
commitment to safety and service.
Adding a strong humanitarian dimension to the Independence
Day celebrations, the Joint Development Council, Cold Rolling Mill, TSK,
organised a blood donation camp on the previous day at the Plot 2 Auditorium.
The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from employees, their family
members and contract workers, with 211 units of blood collected. The initiative
underscored the spirit of service and solidarity that continues to strengthen
the TSK community.
At NINL, the National Flag was hoisted by Padmapal, MD &
CEO, NINL, in the presence of senior officials. The celebration reflected the
organisation’s shared commitment to national values, unity and progress.
A similar Independence Day ceremony was also organised at the Ferro Alloys Plant (FAP), Bamnipal, where Adarsh Agrawal, Head, FAP, Bamnipal, hoisted the National Flag in the presence of employees and other members of the plant community.
Across the three locations, the celebrations combined the solemnity of the national occasion with a vibrant expression of unity, discipline and social responsibility, reaffirming the enduring spirit of service and commitment that continues to inspire the Tata Steel and NINL communities.
