The initiative brought together senior policymakers, banking leaders and insurance representatives to streamline access to comprehensive salary account packages that combine banking convenience with financial protection.

All Public Sector Banks have rolled out customised salary packages for Central Government employees under the DFS initiative, offering a bundled suite of banking, credit and insurance benefits designed to enhance financial security for employees and their families. The programme reflects a shift towards workplace-based financial service delivery, enabling faster onboarding, simplified documentation and greater product awareness among government staff.

He appreciated the coordinated efforts of Public Sector Banks in developing integrated banking solutions and urged Central Government employees to actively participate in the camp and avail the benefits of the Salary Account Packages.

Addressing the gathering, Ashok Chandra, MD&CEO, PNB said, “It is our privilege that all Public Sector Banks have been given an opportunity to offer comprehensive salary account packages designed to provide convenience, financial security, insurance protection, and value-added services to central government employees. This camp reflects PSB’s commitment to delivering accessible, employee-centric banking solutions in partnership with key government stakeholders.”

The salary account offerings include personal accidental and air accident insurance cover, term life protection, hospicash benefits, wellness programmes with free annual health check-ups and tele-consultation, as well as instant overdraft facilities and choice account numbers. Employees are also eligible for concessional interest rates on housing, vehicle, education and personal loans, along with lifetime free debit and credit cards bundled with lifestyle, travel and shopping benefits.

The facilitation camp underscores a coordinated, employee-centric approach by DFS and Public Sector Banks to ensure seamless implementation, wider outreach and on-site delivery of banking and insurance services, positioning workplace banking as a key channel for expanding the government’s financial inclusion and social security agenda.
