PNG supply launched in Nayapalli as MP Aparajita Sarangi promotes clean fuel adoption

Continuing the momentum of the National PNG Drive 2.0 and marking the 78th Capital Foundation Day of Bhubaneswar, Domestic Piped Natural Gas (DPNG) supply was successfully launched on April 13, 2026, at N-6, IRC Village, Nayapalli.

The initiative was formally inaugurated by Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi, who attended the event as the Chief Guest. The programme witnessed active participation from residents of the N-6 area, along with senior officials from GAIL City Gas Distribution (CGD).

Kausik Das, General Manager (CGD) and Officer-in-Charge, Bhubaneswar, highlighted the numerous benefits of Domestic Piped Natural Gas and outlined GAIL’s roadmap to expand gas connectivity to every household in the locality.

Addressing the gathering, MP Sarangi shared her personal experience as a DPNG user and urged residents to embrace this clean and efficient fuel. She emphasized key advantages of PNG, including enhanced safety, convenience, uninterrupted supply, and cost-effectiveness, encouraging households to transition towards this eco-friendly energy solution.
