Patriotism, pride and a strong sense of national unity filled
the air at Paradeep Phosphates Limited (PPL) as the company celebrated India’s
80th Independence Day with immense enthusiasm and patriotic fervour at the
Navratna Ground of PPL Township on Saturday. The celebration brought together the
entire PPL industrial community, including company executives, employees,
workers, their families, and teachers and students of DAV Public School, PPL
Township, in a spirited tribute to the nation’s remarkable journey.
The celebrations commenced with the flag-hoisting ceremony
led by the Chief Guest, S Girish, Chief Manufacturing Officer & Unit Head,
PPL, who unfurled the Tricolour amid a gathering charged with national pride.
Addressing the gathering, Girish highlighted the significance
of the 80th Independence Day and underscored the importance of unity,
industrial progress and collective responsibility in strengthening the nation.
He also reaffirmed PPL’s continued commitment to contributing to India’s growth
and nation-building through its industrial and community-oriented initiatives.
The occasion was graced by Sumit Senapati, Chief General
Manager (HR & IR), Prasanta Pradhan, Chief General Manager (F & A),
along with several senior management dignitaries. Their presence added
significance to the celebration and reflected the collective spirit of the PPL
family in commemorating the country’s historic milestone.
The morning programme witnessed enthusiastic participation
from a large number of PPL employees and their family members, while students
and teachers of DAV Public School, PPL Township, added youthful energy and
patriotic spirit to the occasion. Following the flag-hoisting ceremony, the
Navratna Ground came alive with a vibrant array of cultural performances.
Members of the Navratna Club presented stirring patriotic songs and captivating dance performances, celebrating the spirit of freedom, unity and India’s rich cultural diversity. Their performances resonated strongly with the audience and transformed the celebration into a memorable expression of national pride.
The programme was seamlessly coordinated and conducted by Srisha Prusty, Chief Security Officer, PPL, ensuring the smooth and orderly conduct of the event.
The celebrations concluded with the distribution of sweets
among the participants, leaving the PPL Township community with a renewed sense
of pride, inspiration and togetherness.
