“Probity is the
foundation of prosperity, and collective action is essential to strengthen
transparency, efficiency and compliance across the organisation,” said
Brijendra Pratap Singh, CMD, National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO), as the
Navratna CPSE launched its three-month Vigilance Awareness Campaign on the
theme ‘Probity for Prosperity’ at its Corporate Headquarters in Bhubaneswar on
Monday.
The campaign was formally inaugurated by Singh in the
presence of Pankaj Kumar Sharma, Director (Production), Jagdish Arora, Director
(P&T), Tapas Kumar Pattanayak, Director (HR), Abhay Kumar Behuria, Director
(Finance), Pranabjyoti Nath, CVO, NALCO, and other senior officials of the
Company.
Being organised in line with the directives of the Central
Vigilance Commission (CVC), the campaign seeks to deepen the culture of
integrity, transparency and accountability across NALCO. With a focused
emphasis on capacity building, digital initiatives and contract management, the
three-month programme will bring together employees, contract workers,
stakeholders and members of the public through a series of awareness
programmes, training sessions and competitions.
Addressing the gathering, CMD Brijendra Pratap Singh
emphasised the importance of collective responsibility and stronger
coordination among various departments to enhance organisational efficiency and
ensure strict adherence to CVC guidelines. He appreciated the Vigilance
Department for its sustained efforts towards strengthening transparency,
improving systems and promoting greater efficiency within the organisation.
At the outset, CVO Pranabjyoti Nath elaborated on the preventive vigilance activities planned throughout the campaign and highlighted the significance and rationale of the initiative. He also invited suggestions and active participation from all stakeholders to make the campaign more meaningful, inclusive and effective.
Through the campaign, NALCO aims to reinforce vigilance as a shared organisational responsibility and promote an environment where ethical conduct, transparency and accountability become integral to decision-making and day-to-day operations.
