Reliance Consumer
Products Ltd (RCPL), the FMCG arm of Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL), on
Wednesday announced its entry into the ready-to-drink dairy market with the
launch of Joyland flavoured milk in Tamil Nadu, priced at Rs 20.
The launch marks a
strategic expansion of RCPL’s beverage portfolio as the company seeks to tap
opportunities in the dairy beverages segment by offering consumers products
that combine convenience, taste and affordability.
Made with authentic
dairy ingredients, Joyland flavoured milk will initially be available in
Strawberry and Vanilla variants in Tamil Nadu, with the company planning a
phased nationwide rollout.
The launch
strengthens RCPL’s total beverage portfolio and aligns with its stated strategy
of delivering global-quality products at affordable prices. The company aims to
leverage its distribution network, retail presence and consumer insights to
expand Joyland’s footprint in the Indian market.
“Our entry into the ready-to-drink dairy
market is a significant step in extending RCPL’s portfolio and widening the
choices we offer consumers. With Joyland, we are bringing together authentic
dairy ingredients, quality and affordability to make world-class products
accessible to more households,” T Krishnakumar, Director, Reliance Consumer
Products Ltd, said.
Tamil Nadu marks the beginning of the brand’s expansion journey, with RCPL planning to gradually extend Joyland’s reach across India and introduce additional flavours and multiple dairy beverage categories, he added.
The launch underscores RCPL’s longer-term ambitions in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector, where companies are increasingly expanding their beverage offerings to cater to evolving consumer preferences for convenient, ready-to-consume products.
