Vedanta Aluminium,
India’s largest aluminium producer, has strengthened its engagement with global
customers, industry stakeholders and technology partners at ALUMINIUM 2026 in
Düsseldorf, Germany, exploring new business opportunities amid rising demand
for sustainable materials, low-carbon solutions and value-added aluminium
products.
The company
participated in the international aluminium trade fair and conference held from
October 6 to 8, using the platform to gain insights into evolving market
requirements, reinforce international partnerships and explore opportunities to
expand its presence across key global markets.
The engagement comes
at a time when the global aluminium industry is witnessing a shift towards
sustainable manufacturing, resilient supply chains, advanced industrial
applications and customised product solutions, with quality, reliability and
competitiveness emerging as critical factors for customers.
Rajesh Kumar, CEO,
Vedanta Aluminium, said, “The global aluminium industry is undergoing a
significant transformation, driven by growing demand for sustainable materials,
resilient supply chains and advanced manufacturing applications. As customers
increasingly seek partners that can deliver quality, reliability and innovation
at scale, opportunities are emerging for producers to create greater value
through differentiated products and stronger collaboration. At Vedanta
Aluminium, we remain focused on deepening customer relationships, expanding our
value-added portfolio and delivering solutions that support the evolving needs
of industries across global markets.”
Discussions at the
exhibition centred on supply chain resilience, product quality, technological
innovation, sustainability and cost competitiveness, alongside growing customer
interest in low-carbon aluminium, dependable supply networks and solutions
tailored to specific end-use applications.
With a customer
footprint spanning more than 60 countries, Vedanta Aluminium serves a wide
range of industries through its portfolio of primary and value-added aluminium
products, including billets, wire rods, primary foundry alloys and specialised
products. Its offerings cater to sectors such as automotive, electrical,
infrastructure, renewable energy and advanced manufacturing, where aluminium is
increasingly being used to support lightweighting, electrification and
energy-efficient technologies.
The company is
focusing on improving product quality, accelerating technical qualifications
and developing customer-specific solutions to address changing application
requirements across international markets.
Sustainability
emerged as a major theme at the exhibition, with industry participants
discussing renewable energy integration, circularity, recycled content and
emissions reduction. As global customers increasingly prioritise responsible
sourcing and greater transparency across supply chains, the discussions
highlighted the importance of collaboration across the aluminium value chain to
advance decarbonisation efforts.
The exhibition also
provided insights into emerging opportunities in automotive electrification,
power transmission, renewable energy and other high-growth sectors, reinforcing
the need for innovation, technical collaboration and reliable supply to meet
evolving industrial requirements.
With a production
capacity of over 2.4 million tonnes per annum, Vedanta Aluminium said it would
