SakRobotix Lab Pvt Ltd, based in Bhubaneswar, and Ahmedabad-based Gridbots Technologies Pvt Ltd have joined hands to accelerate the adoption of robotics-based cleaning and inspection solutions across India's government and private-sector infrastructure, with a target of generating ₹100 crore in annual revenue.

The collaboration will focus on deploying robotic solutions for sewer cleaning, drainage maintenance, water pipeline inspection, water tank cleaning and inspection, and specialised cleaning and inspection of industrial facilities and critical infrastructure. The companies also plan to explore robotic applications in challenging environments, including dams and rivers.

"Our collaboration with Gridbots aims to scale Robotics-as-a-Service across India, targeting ₹100 crore in annual revenue through robotic cleaning and inspection solutions for government and private-sector customers," SakRobotix Lab Managing Director Sakyasingha Mahapatra said.

Under the Robotics-as-a-Service (RaaS) model, the companies aim to cater to municipal corporations, government departments, public sector undertakings, industrial townships, infrastructure operators and private enterprises across the country.

Gridbots Chief Technology Officer Pulkit Gour said the partnership would facilitate the deployment of indigenous robotic technologies for sewer cleaning, pipeline inspection and industrial applications, making infrastructure maintenance safer and more efficient.

The collaboration will combine robotics technology, engineering expertise, system integration and market access to develop scalable solutions aimed at improving operational efficiency, enhancing worker safety and reducing human exposure to hazardous cleaning environments.

The proposed ₹100 crore annual revenue target reflects the companies' ambition to build a nationwide robotics services business to address India's infrastructure maintenance requirements. The initiative is also expected to support wider adoption of advanced robotics, strengthen the domestic technology ecosystem and create opportunities for skilled employment.

Founded in 2012, SakRobotix Lab is headquartered in Bhubaneswar and works in robotics education, research and technology solutions, with a focus on promoting robotics and emerging technologies across India.

Gridbots Technologies, established in 2007 and headquartered in Ahmedabad, develops indigenous robotics and automation technologies for defence, industrial and specialised applications.
