Reinforcing its commitment to sustainable manufacturing and clean energy adoption, Surya Roshni Limited has invested approximately ₹16 crore in the installation of 4 MWp captive solar power plants across three of its manufacturing facilities. The initiative is expected to generate nearly 48 lakh units of renewable energy annually while reducing carbon emissions by around 4,000 tonnes of CO₂ every year, marking another significant milestone in the company's long-term sustainability journey.

Surya Roshni Limited, one of India's leading manufacturers of lighting products, wires and cables, fans, home appliances, PVC pipes, water pumps, water tanks, and steel pipes, has strengthened its environmental commitments by commissioning captive solar power plants at its manufacturing facilities in Malanpur (Madhya Pradesh), Kashipur (Uttarakhand), and Bahadurgarh (Haryana).

Aligned with the spirit of World Environment Day and the company's long-term sustainability vision, the initiative underscores Surya Roshni's continued focus on expanding the use of renewable energy across its manufacturing operations while reducing its overall carbon footprint.

The three solar power plants have a combined installed capacity of 4 MWp, comprising 1.5 MWp each at the Kashipur and Malanpur facilities and 1 MWp at the Bahadurgarh plant. Designed using a combination of rooftop shed-mounted and ground-mounted structures, the installations are aimed at maximising energy generation and operational efficiency.

The Kashipur and Malanpur plants are each expected to generate approximately 18 lakh units of electricity annually, while the Bahadurgarh facility is projected to produce around 12 lakh units. Collectively, the installations will generate nearly 48 lakh units of clean energy every year.

The renewable energy initiative is expected to reduce carbon emissions by approximately 3,936 tonnes—nearly 4,000 tonnes—of CO₂ annually, making a meaningful contribution to cleaner industrial operations and the company's broader climate action goals.

Surya Roshni has invested around ₹16 crore in the project, reaffirming its commitment to sustainable growth, energy efficiency, and responsible manufacturing.
