Reinforcing its commitment to community welfare and public health, Tata Steel Kalinganagar organised a mega blood donation drive on Thursday, collecting 280 units of blood through enthusiastic participation from employees, their family members and contract workers. The initiative reflects the company's sustained focus on social responsibility and support for critical healthcare needs in the region.

The blood donation camp, held at the Plot 2 Auditorium of Tata Steel Kalinganagar, witnessed an overwhelming response from across the workforce, highlighting a strong culture of volunteerism and civic engagement within the organisation.

The event was graced by Probal Ghosh, Vice President, Asset & Energy Management, Tata Steel, as the Chief Guest, along with other senior officials of Tata Steel Kalinganagar.

Organised by the Occupational Health Centre and Wellness Corner of Tata Steel Kalinganagar, the camp was conducted in collaboration with the Blood Bank of District Headquarters Hospital, Jajpur, the Central Red Cross Blood Centre, Cuttack, and the Blood Bank of Community Health Centre, Jajpur Road.

Expressing his appreciation to all donors, Probal Ghosh commended the collective spirit displayed by the participants and acknowledged the dedicated efforts of the medical teams that ensured the smooth conduct of the programme.

The initiative was aimed at strengthening local blood bank reserves and helping healthcare institutions meet the growing demand for life-saving blood supplies.
