Tata Steel Technical
Services Limited (TSTSL) was honoured as an Esteemed Industry Partner by the
World Skill Center (WSC), Bhubaneswar, during its 7th Graduation Ceremony held
on July 13, in recognition of the company's significant contribution to
strengthening industry-academia collaboration and advancing skill development
in Odisha.
The ceremony
celebrated the graduation of 506 students (245 boys and 261 girls) from the
2025–26 batch of the School of Engineering and the School of Services. Sampad
Chandra Swain, Hon'ble Minister for Skill Development & Technical Education
and Industries, Government of Odisha, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
Sandeep Dhir, CEO,
Tata Steel Technical Services Limited, received the award on behalf of the
company. Speaking on the occasion, he said: "At Tata Steel Technical
Services, we believe that bridging the gap between academic learning and
industrial application is critical to unlocking the true potential of our
youth. This recognition from the World Skill Center is a testament to our
sustained efforts in nurturing highly skilled, future-ready professionals. We
remain deeply committed to partnering with the Government of Odisha and premier
institutions like WSC to build a robust talent ecosystem that meets the
evolving demands of modern industries and drives regional prosperity."
The ceremony was also
attended by Bhupendra Singh Poonia, Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Skill Development
& Technical Education Department, Government of Odisha; Rashmi Ranjan
Mohapatra, Chief Executive Officer, World Skill Center; senior officials from
the department, industry partners, faculty members, and other distinguished
guests.
The recognition
reaffirms TSTSL's commitment to supporting industry-driven skilling initiatives
and developing a future-ready workforce equipped to meet the evolving needs of
India's industrial sector.
