Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a leading global provider of IT services, consulting and business solutions, has announced a landmark strategic partnership with Mistral, one of the world’s foremost artificial intelligence companies. As part of this collaboration, TCS has become the first Global Systems Integrator (GSI) partner for Mistral Forge, Mistral’s advanced platform that enables enterprises to build frontier-grade AI models grounded in proprietary enterprise knowledge and domain-specific data.

The partnership combines Mistral’s cutting-edge AI capabilities with TCS’ deep industry expertise, customer understanding and engineering excellence to help organisations scale enterprise AI responsibly, efficiently and at speed.

Under the collaboration, TCS will leverage Mistral Forge to develop custom AI models tailored to enterprise needs. These solutions will enable customers to harness their proprietary data and business context to enhance decision-making and operational outcomes. Drawing on TCS’ extensive presence across North America, the United Kingdom, Europe and Asia-Pacific, the partnership will deliver AI solutions aligned with industry-specific requirements, operational priorities and regulatory frameworks.

The initial focus will be on key sectors including banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI), manufacturing, healthcare and the public sector, where the demand for trusted and scalable AI adoption continues to grow.

To further strengthen the partnership, TCS will establish a dedicated Centre of Excellence (CoE) for Mistral. The CoE will serve as a hub for joint innovation, development of industry-specific solutions, project delivery support and accelerated client value creation through early access to Mistral’s beta models. It will also focus on advanced talent development, specialised training and the capabilities required to design, deploy and govern enterprise AI solutions at scale.

Arthur Mensch, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Mistral, said, “TCS’ global scale and contextual industry knowledge make them an ideal partner for Mistral. Together, we are enabling enterprises worldwide to move from experimentation to AI deployment with systems that are open, production-ready and aligned with their strategic and operational requirements.”

K. Krithivasan, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of TCS, said, “The partnership with Mistral reinforces TCS’ commitment to scaling enterprise AI with trust, control and measurable business outcomes at the core. This partnership expands TCS’ AI ecosystem, uniquely positioning TCS to create a differentiated solution proposition for our clients. Together with Mistral, we will solve for specific industry challenges, regulatory requirements and sovereign needs for our enterprise customers.”

The alliance forms part of TCS’ broader ‘Infrastructure to Intelligence’ AI strategy, under which the company continues to invest across AI infrastructure, models, data, applications, platforms, and physical and digital intelligence. The initiative aligns with TCS’ ambition to become the world’s largest AI-led technology services company, supported by a five-pillar strategy focused on embedding AI across enterprises, scaling AI-powered delivery capabilities and driving measurable business outcomes for clients worldwide.
