Marking the 80th Independence Day with a strong message of
patriotism and sustainability, TP Central Odisha Distribution Limited (TPCODL)
on Saturday honoured its ‘Solar Warriors’ for their contribution to
accelerating rooftop solar adoption in Odisha, while reaffirming its commitment
to a cleaner, greener and energy-secure future.
The Tata Power and Government of Odisha joint venture
celebrated Independence Day with patriotic fervour at its Corporate Office
premises in Bhubaneswar, where Gajanan S. Kale, Chief – Odisha Distribution
Business and CEO, TPCODL, unfurled the National Flag in the presence of
employees and stakeholders.
Addressing the gathering, Kale paid tribute to the freedom
fighters whose sacrifices laid the foundation of an independent India. He urged
everyone to uphold the values of the nation’s freedom struggle and contribute
towards building a stronger, more prosperous and sustainable India.
A key highlight of the celebrations was the felicitation of
‘Solar Warriors’ — consumers, solar vendors and other stakeholders who have
played a significant role in promoting rooftop solar adoption and supporting
the implementation of the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana.
Recognising their efforts, TPCODL said the contribution of
these stakeholders has helped accelerate the adoption of clean energy and
advance Odisha’s transition towards a greener and more sustainable energy future.
The felicitation also underscored TPCODL’s commitment to empowering consumers, deepening partnerships with solar vendors and supporting the Government’s vision of expanding renewable energy adoption across the state.
The Independence Day celebrations concluded with employees and stakeholders renewing their commitment to nation-building and to advancing a shared vision of a cleaner, greener and energy-secure India.
