TP Central Odisha
Distribution Limited (TPCODL), a joint venture between Tata Power and the Government
of Odisha, celebrated its sixth anniversary, commemorating six years of
transformative growth, innovation, and service excellence in the power
distribution sector across Central Odisha.
Serving a population
of over 1.36 crore across a distribution area of 29,354 square kilometres and a
consumer base of nearly 33 lakh, TPCODL has emerged as one of India’s leading
power distribution utilities. The occasion highlighted the company’s sustained
commitment to delivering reliable, quality, and customer-centric electricity
services while building a resilient, technology-driven, and future-ready power
distribution network.
Reflecting on the
company’s journey, the leadership team highlighted TPCODL’s significant
achievements in strengthening infrastructure, accelerating digital
transformation, enhancing customer service delivery, and fostering a culture of
safety and operational excellence. Central to its success has been an
unwavering focus on reliability, efficiency, and consumer satisfaction.
Reinforcing its
position among the country’s best-performing utilities, TPCODL secured an A+
rating in the latest Annual Integrated Rating & Ranking of Power
Distribution Utilities conducted by the Ministry of Power, Government of India.
The company earned this distinction for the second consecutive year,
underscoring its strong operational performance, sound corporate governance
practices, and financial resilience.
Addressing the
gathering, TPCODL CEO Gajanan S. Kale said, “Over the last six years, TPCODL has
transformed the power distribution landscape of Central Odisha through
innovation, operational excellence, and customer-focused initiatives. This

As part of the celebrations, TPCODL unveiled its in-house magazine, ‘Smruti o Anubhuti’, and honoured employees and field teams whose dedication and hard work have played a pivotal role in the organisation’s achievements. The event was further enlivened by cultural performances presented by employees and their family members.
The anniversary celebration reaffirmed TPCODL’s vision of driving sustainable growth, empowering communities, and delivering world-class power services across Central Odisha while continuing its journey towards building a smarter and more efficient energy ecosystem.
