TP Central Odisha
Distribution Limited (TPCODL), a joint venture of Tata Power and the Government
of Odisha, will organise the 2nd National Lok Adalat and Settlement Camp on May
9, 2026 across its operational areas to facilitate speedy resolution of cases
related to unauthorised electricity usage and power theft.
The initiative, being
conducted under the framework of the National Legal Services Authority, aims to
provide consumers with an accessible and time-bound platform for settlement of
pending enforcement-related cases.
The Lok Adalat will
be held from 9 AM to 5 PM at all Division, Sub-Division and Section Offices
under TPCODL’s jurisdiction. Consumers can avail on-the-spot assistance for
settlement of eligible cases and regularisation of electricity connections.
TPCODL has urged
consumers with pending enforcement cases to utilise the opportunity to resolve
disputes amicably and avoid future legal or financial complications.
To ensure smooth
facilitation, dedicated teams comprising enforcement officials, legal
professionals and trained support staff have been deployed at all designated locations.
The teams will assist consumers with documentation, eligibility criteria and
settlement procedures.
District-wise
arrangements and detailed settlement guidelines have been made available at all
TPCODL offices. Consumers may also contact their nearest Customer Care Centre
or Fuse Call Centre (FCC) for assistance.
Organised in coordination with legal authorities, the National Lok Adalat is expected to help reduce long-pending enforcement disputes, strengthen consumer grievance redressal and encourage wider public participation in transparent power governance.
TPCODL has urged to all eligible consumers to participate in the Lok Adalat and avail the benefits of the single-window settlement mechanism.
