TP Central Odisha Distribution Limited
(TPCODL), a joint venture of Tata Power and the Government of Odisha, has
announced a special Consumer Grievance Redressal Camp to be held on March 30
and 31, 2026, across its operational areas, providing consumers a convenient
platform to resolve long-pending electricity-related issues through a
simplified and transparent process.
The initiative is designed to ensure
swift and amicable settlement of cases related to unauthorised electricity
usage and power theft through a single-window mechanism, enabling consumers to
regularise their electricity connections while avoiding legal complexities. The
move reflects TPCODL’s continued commitment to improving consumer services and
strengthening trust through efficient grievance resolution systems.
The announcement follows the successful
Lok Adalat conducted on March 14, 2026, during which TPCODL resolved more than
6,600 cases on the spot. The large-scale resolution of enforcement-related
matters through a streamlined and consumer-friendly approach highlighted the
effectiveness of such platforms in addressing grievances efficiently and at
scale.
Encouraged by the positive response,
TPCODL has urged consumers with pending enforcement cases to participate in the
upcoming Grievance Redressal Camp and benefit from on-the-spot settlements. The
initiative aims to provide relief to consumers by enabling them to resolve
disputes quickly and move forward with regularised electricity usage without
procedural delays.
The camps will be conducted from 9 AM
to 5 PM at all Division, Sub-Division and Section Offices, where dedicated
teams comprising enforcement officials, legal experts and support staff will
assist consumers throughout the process, ensuring clarity on documentation and
settlement procedures.
Consumers can obtain detailed information regarding eligibility, required documents and settlement guidelines at all TPCODL offices and customer care centres.
TPCODL has appealed to all consumers with pending cases to attend the Consumer Grievance Redressal Camp on March 30 and 31, 2026 and take advantage of the hassle-free, single-window settlement facility.
