TP Central Odisha
Distribution Limited (TPCODL), a joint venture of Tata Power and the Government
of Odisha, will organise the 1st National Lok Adalat of 2026 along with a
Settlement Camp on 14th March 2026 across all its operational areas to
facilitate the speedy resolution of cases related to unauthorised electricity
usage and electricity theft. The initiative is being conducted under the
framework of the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) with the objective
of expediting dispute settlement and promoting consumer awareness.
The Lok Adalat will
be held from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing consumers with a full day of
on-the-spot assistance to settle pending enforcement matters. As the first Lok
Adalat of 2026, TPCODL has urged consumers to take advantage of the platform to
resolve outstanding cases, avoid future legal or financial complications, and
regularise their electricity usage through a transparent and time-bound
process.
To ensure smooth facilitation
of the settlement process, dedicated teams comprising enforcement officers,
legal professionals and trained support staff will be deployed at every
Division, Sub-Division and Section office. These teams will assist consumers by
providing guidance on eligible case categories, documentation requirements and
the overall settlement procedure to ensure a hassle-free experience.
TPCODL has made
district-wise arrangements, eligibility details and step-by-step settlement
guidelines available at all its Division, Sub-Division and Section Offices.
Consumers may also contact their nearest Customer Care Centre and Fuse Call
Centres (FCC) for any clarifications or assistance ahead of the event.
Conducted in coordination with legal authorities, the National Lok Adalat and Settlement Camp is expected to help reduce consumer grievances through the settlement of long-pending enforcement cases while also strengthening service delivery by encouraging wider participation from consumers.
TPCODL has appealed to all consumers with pending enforcement cases to attend the Lok Adalat on 14th March 2026 (Saturday) and take advantage of the single-window, hassle-free settlement mechanism.
