TP Northern Odisha Distribution Limited (TPNODL) organized a
special programme in Baisinga to honour women associated with its diverse CSR
initiatives, aligning with this year’s theme “Give to Gain” on the occasion of
International Women’s Day. The event, held as part of Tata Volunteering Week-25,
highlighted women’s empowerment, their contributions, and the spirit of
collective growth within the community.
More than 600 women
beneficiaries from various development projects participated in the programme,
which featured engaging games, vibrant cultural performances, and exhibition
stalls showcasing their skills and dedication to initiatives such as Anokha
Dhaga, Adhikaar, and services provided to rural consumers through Mobile Health
Units. The event also included the felicitation of women who have demonstrated
exceptional dedication and remarkable service in their respective fields.
Present on the
occasion were Gajanan S. Kale, Chief - Odisha Distribution Business and CEO,
TPNODL; Debadutta Panda, Superintending Engineer, Baripada Electrical Circle;
Madhuchhanda Behera, BPM - Mayurbhanj; and Ranjan Sharma, Head-CSR, along with
key regional stakeholders and officials of TPNODL.
In his address, Kale lauded
the strength, resilience, and contributions of women engaged in CSR programmes,
emphasizing that their empowerment leads to progress for families and society
at large. He reaffirmed TPNODL's commitment to inclusive growth and encouraged
participants to support one another while making the most of the opportunities
created through various CSR initiatives.
TPNODL also organized Femme Fiesta 3.0 across five electrical circles, reaffirming its commitment to women’s empowerment, awareness, and meaningful consumer engagement. The events featured inspiring narratives, captivating performances, and thought-provoking discussions, fostering stronger community involvement and driving positive societal transformation. TPNODL’s initiatives and schemes resonated strongly with attendees, who commended the company’s sustained efforts to bring about meaningful change in the region.
