Distribution Limited (TPNODL) will organise a National Lok Adalat and
Settlement Camp on Saturday, March 14, providing consumers an opportunity to
resolve enforcement-related disputes in a streamlined and convenient manner.
The Lok Adalat will
be conducted across division and sub-division offices as well as designated
court premises within TPNODL’s operational areas, covering the circles of
Balasore, Keonjhar, Jajpur, Bhadrak and Baripada. The initiative aims to
facilitate speedy settlement of cases related to unauthorized electricity usage
and electricity theft.
The settlement camp
will remain open from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing consumers to approach the designated
venues throughout the day to resolve pending enforcement matters and bring
their electricity usage under regular compliance.
Through this
initiative, TPNODL seeks to offer a consumer-friendly platform where disputes
can be resolved amicably while promoting awareness about responsible
electricity consumption and legal compliance. The distribution utility has
encouraged consumers with pending cases to participate in the Lok Adalat and
take advantage of the opportunity to settle disputes without prolonged legal
proceedings.
Consumers can obtain detailed information about the Lok Adalat from their respective division and sub-division offices. TPNODL has also advised consumers to contact their nearest offices for guidance and assistance regarding documentation and procedures required for settlement.
