TP Northern Odisha
Distribution Limited (TPNODL) will organise the 2nd National Lok Adalat and
Settlement Camp on Saturday across its operational areas to facilitate speedy
resolution of cases related to unauthorised use of electricity and power theft.
The Lok Adalat will
be conducted at Division and Sub-Division offices, along with designated court
premises across the Balasore, Keonjhar, Jajpur, Bhadrak and Baripada circles
under TPNODL’s jurisdiction.
Organised under the
framework of the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA), the initiative aims
to provide consumers with an accessible, transparent and time-bound platform
for settlement of pending enforcement-related cases.
The settlement camp
will remain open from 9 AM to 5 PM, enabling consumers to avail on-the-spot
assistance for dispute resolution and regularisation of electricity usage.
Dedicated teams
comprising enforcement officials, legal professionals and support staff have
been deployed at all designated locations to assist consumers with
documentation, eligibility criteria and settlement procedures.
Organised in
coordination with legal authorities, the National Lok Adalat is expected to
help reduce long-pending enforcement disputes, strengthen consumer grievance
redressal mechanisms and encourage wider public participation in transparent
power governance.
TPNODL has urged
consumers with pending enforcement cases to make use of the opportunity to
resolve disputes amicably and avoid future legal or financial complications.
Detailed information
regarding the Lok Adalat is available at respective Division and Sub-Division
offices, while consumers may also contact their nearest TPNODL office for
guidance and support.
