TP Southern Odisha Distribution Limited (TPSODL), a joint venture between
Tata Power and the Government of Odisha, has been conferred with the
prestigious International Safety Award 2026 by the British Safety Council in
the “Distinction” category, recognising the company’s strong commitment towards
workplace health, safety, and employee well-being across its operational areas.
The globally recognised award honours organisations that demonstrate
robust safety management systems and proactive measures in preventing workplace
injuries and occupational health risks. TPSODL earned the distinction for its
sustained efforts in creating a safe working environment and embedding a strong
culture of safety across all levels of operations.
The recognition highlights the utility major’s continued focus on
implementing safe operational practices, conducting regular safety awareness
drives, strengthening employee training programmes, enhancing field-level
monitoring, and adopting globally accepted safety standards in its day-to-day
operations.
Speaking on the achievement, TPSODL CEO Amit Kumar Garg said, “We are
pleased to receive this recognition from the British Safety Council. Safety
