TP Southern Odisha Distribution Limited has launched ‘Project SAATHI’ –
Touching BA Lives – to foster inclusive growth and deepen engagement with
Business Associates (BA) employees and their families. The pilot initiative,
launched from Lathi village in Berhampur, seeks to create a supportive
ecosystem through focused interventions in education, livelihood opportunities
and healthcare.
The project features Pragati Path, a scholarship programme that supports students in enrolling in government ITIs or diploma institutions, enabling them to pursue structured career pathways. Complementing this, the Margdarshan component offers career counselling and financial guidance to help beneficiaries achieve long-term, sustainable progress.
Under the Aarogya Parivar initiative, accessible healthcare services are being delivered to BA employees and their families through the Sanjivini Mobile Health Dispensary. The camps emphasise preventive care, general health check-ups and awareness sessions to promote overall well-being.
At the launch event in Lathi, Konisi, Berhampur, attended by more than 65
BA employees and their family members, a health screening camp was organised as
a demonstration of the programme’s services. Dhaaga and Dhoopbatti centres were
also showcased, encouraging family members to explore income-generation and
micro-entrepreneurship opportunities.
Speaking on the occasion, TPSODL CEO Amit Kumar Garg said the initiative
reflects the organisation’s belief that growth becomes meaningful only when it
includes every member of its extended workforce, adding that investments in
education, health and livelihoods would help build self-reliant communities
alongside the company’s progress.
Through Project SAATHI, TPSODL aims to strengthen empowerment,
partnership and shared community development across southern Odisha.
