operations in Odisha and Chhattisgarh. Through these initiatives, the company
aims to support lakhs of devotees while bringing together employees, business
partners and local communities in celebrating one of Odisha’s most significant
and widely revered festivals.
Guided by the ethos

serving others without expectation — Vedanta Aluminium’s Rath Yatra initiatives
are dedicated to supporting devotees, strengthening community bonds and
preserving Odisha’s rich cultural heritage. The company’s efforts include the
distribution of food and drinking water, volunteer assistance for pilgrims,
devotional and cultural programmes, promotion of traditional art forms, and
support for community celebrations. Undertaken in close collaboration with
local authorities and complemented by environmentally responsible practices,
these initiatives seek to provide a safe, inclusive and fulfilling experience
for devotees while honouring the timeless legacy of Lord Jagannath.

At Jharsuguda,
Odisha, the Rath Yatra celebrations brought together more than 10,000
employees, business partners and members of the local community in a grand
expression of faith, devotion and cultural heritage. The week-long festivities
feature devotional music, theatre, dance and community-driven cultural
programmes, creating a vibrant atmosphere of spiritual fervour while
strengthening community bonds.
At the company’s
alumina refinery in Lanjigarh, Odisha, this year’s Rath Yatra marked a historic
milestone as the employee township celebrated its first-ever Rath Yatra at its
newly established Jagannath Temple. The celebrations witnessed enthusiastic
participation, with more than 2,000 devotees receiving prasada. Alongside
traditional Jagannath rituals, the festivities featured cultural programmes,
performances by acclaimed devotional artists, classical Odissi dance recitals
and employee-led cultural showcases.
At BALCO in Korba, Chhattisgarh, the Rath Yatra celebrations brought together nearly 4,000 employees, business partners and community members in a vibrant display of devotion and cultural pride. Traditional rituals, including Puja, Chhera Panhara and Pahandi, were complemented by cultural performances such as Jagaran and Karma dance. More than 4,000 devotees were served Khichdi Prasad and Bhandara, reflecting the spirit of seva, inclusivity and collective celebration that defines Rath Yatra.
