The World Skill Center (WSC),
Bhubaneswar, has extended the last date for submission of online applications
for admission to its 2026-27 academic session till May 15, providing aspiring
students from across the country additional time to secure a place at one of
India's premier skill development institutions.
The online entrance examination for
admission will be held on May 31, 2026, while the new academic session is
scheduled to commence in June. The extension is expected to benefit a large
number of candidates seeking industry-oriented, globally relevant technical and
professional education.
WSC continues to offer a diverse
portfolio of advanced programmes under its School of Engineering, including
Mechanical and Electrical Services, Mechatronics, Electrical Technology, Air
Conditioning and Refrigeration, Vertical Transportation (Lift Technology), and
Precision Engineering. Candidates possessing a two-year ITI, a three-year
diploma in Engineering or Technology, or a BE/BTech degree from a recognised
institution are eligible to apply for these programmes.
Under the School of Services, WSC
offers specialised courses such as Beauty and Wellness for students who have
completed Plus II, ITI, or a relevant diploma. In line with emerging industry
demands, the institution has further strengthened its academic offerings by
introducing new-age programmes in Logistics and Supply Chain Management,
Hospitality and Hotel Operations, and Digital Animation for the 2026-27
session.
To promote diversity and attract
talent nationwide, the Odisha Government has reserved 10 per cent of seats for
candidates from outside the state. Interested applicants can submit their
