The programme was implemented in collaboration with the Apparel, Made-Ups & Home Furnishing Sector Skill Council under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India.

To encourage self-reliance and livelihood generation, certificates and sewing machines were distributed to all successful trainees by Santosh C. S., Executive Director & Project Head, NTTPP. Addressing the participants, he urged the trainees to effectively utilize the acquired skills for achieving economic independence and sustainable livelihood opportunities.

Further strengthening the initiative, another batch of 60 youths from the project-affected areas was formally inducted into the skill development programme during the event. Welcome kits were distributed to the newly enrolled trainees, marking the beginning of their training journey under the programme.

As part of NLCIL’s larger skill development initiative, a total of 300 youths from project-affected areas will be trained in the Self-Employed Tailor trade, significantly enhancing opportunities for employment and entrepreneurship in the region. Besides tailoring, the company has also successfully trained 30 youths in the Electrician trade under its livelihood enhancement programmes.
