Smartphone maker OPPO on Wednesday launched its latest F35 series in India at a mega event here, marking a decade of the F Series in the country and positioning the new lineup as the “Group Selfie Expert” for a new generation of consumers.

The F35 series comprises the OPPO F35 Pro 5G and OPPO F35 5G, and builds on the company's decade-long imaging journey that began with the first-generation F1, which was positioned as a “Selfie Expert”. OPPO said the F Series has sold more than 30 million smartphones in India over the past 10 years.

The new series features a 50-megapixel Ultra-Wide Natural Selfie Camera with a 100-degree field of view, designed to accommodate more people and surroundings in a single frame.

Commenting on the launch, Goldee Patnaik, Head of Communications, OPPO India, said: “The F35 Series builds on this evolution with the 50MP Ultra-Wide Natural Selfie Camera and 100° field of view, bringing more people and more of the moment into every frame.”

Odisha, with its culture of family, festivities and shared moments, reflected the spirit behind the company's new “Group Selfie Expert” proposition, Patnaik added.

The F35 Pro 5G comes with a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilisation, an 8MP ultra-wide rear camera and Natural Tone 2.0. For content creators, it supports 4K video recording through both front and rear cameras, Ultra-Steady mode and Dual-View Video, which allows simultaneous recording through the front and rear cameras.

The device also features Portrait Mode, AI Popout and AI Remix Collage, aimed at helping users create and share more engaging content.

The F35 5G, meanwhile, also carries the 50MP Ultra-Wide front camera with a 100-degree field of view and a 50MP main rear camera, extending the Group Selfie Expert experience to a wider consumer base.

Beyond imaging, both models are equipped with an 8,000mAh battery and 80W SUPERVOOC Flash Charge. OPPO said the battery is designed to retain more than 80 per cent of its original capacity after up to 1,800 charge cycles, supporting long-term daily use.

The series comes with IP69K, IP69, IP68 and IP66 water and dust resistance, Rainstorm Touch and Military-Grade Shock Resistance.

The smartphones run on ColorOS 16, which brings AI-powered features such as AI Recording, AI Ultra-Clear Documents, AI Call Guard and One-Tap Security Guard. The All-New Trinity Engine is designed to optimise system resources, while Extended Use Care 2.0 and six-year smoothness protection aim to maintain performance over prolonged usage.

The F35 Pro 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7360 MAX processor and features a 5,000mm² SuperCool VC System for heat dissipation. It sports a 17.22-cm 1.5K 144Hz AMOLED Ultra-Bright Display, while the F35 5G has a 16.69-cm FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED Ultra-Bright Display.

The OPPO F35 Pro 5G is priced at Rs 45,999 for the 6GB+128GB variant, Rs 49,999 for the 8GB+128GB variant and Rs 54,999 for the 8GB+256GB variant. The OPPO F35 5G is priced at Rs 38,999 for the 6GB+128GB variant and Rs 42,999 for the 8GB+128GB variant.

The smartphones will go on sale from October 11 through mainline retail outlets, OPPO India E-Store, Flipkart and Amazon.

The F35 Pro 5G will be offered in Sunrise Orange, Wave Blue and Twilight Brown, while the F35 5G will come in Wave Blue, Titanium Grey and Mist Pink.

Consumers will also be eligible for benefits including up to 10 per cent instant cashback, no-cost EMI, up to 10 per cent exchange bonus and zero down payment schemes, besides additional festive offers on select OPPO products and services.

The launch comes as OPPO continues to strengthen its position in India's competitive smartphone market. According to IDC's Worldwide Quarterly Mobile Phone Tracker for the first quarter of 2026, OPPO recorded 22 per cent year-on-year growth, the highest among the top five brands, while its market share rose to 15.3 per cent from 12 per cent a year earlier. More recent IDC India smartphone market data placed OPPO third with a 13.8 per cent market share, supported by growth in the above-Rs 20,000 segment.

Odisha is also emerging as an important market for the company. OPPO currently operates 24 exclusive service centres across the state, as part of its wider network of more than 620 service centres across over 500 cities in India, supporting customers in 19 languages.

The company is also expanding its next-generation Service Center 3.0 Pro network. More than 60 Premium Service Centers are already operational, while over 150 new Service Center 3.0 Pro centres are planned across India in 2026.

The new service format incorporates digital check-in, real-time queue updates, dynamic digital signage, optimised layouts and interactive service features, with the aim of making after-sales support more convenient and transparent.
