NEW DELHI, OCTOBER 7, 2026

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the 10th edition of the India Mobile Congress (IMC) at Yashobhoomi here on Thursday, as the country’s flagship technology and telecom event seeks to spotlight next-generation connectivity, digital innovation and technology-led growth.

Modi will inaugurate the event at around 10 am on October 8 and address the gathering. Organised jointly by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI), IMC 2026 is being held from October 7 to 10.

Themed “Scale Without Boundaries”, this year’s edition will bring together global technology leaders, policymakers, industry experts, startups, investors and innovators to explore emerging opportunities across the digital ecosystem.

The event will be anchored around four key pillars — Srishti: Building the Future; Samvardhan: Fueling Growth; Sashakt: Expanding Opportunities; and Suraksha: Strengthening Trust — reflecting a focus on innovation, next-generation digital infrastructure, technology-driven economic growth, inclusive digital access and secure and resilient digital ecosystems.

IMC 2026 will cover nine established sectors, including 5G and 6G, next-generation AI networks, semiconductors, non-terrestrial networks, cybersecurity, quantum communication, enterprise transformation, circular economy and ESG, and electronics manufacturing.

The event will also widen its sectoral footprint with four emerging domains — smart mobility, stadium experiences, industrial robotics and transport technology — highlighting the expanding role of digital technologies beyond traditional telecom and connectivity applications.

The 2026 edition is expected to draw more than 1.5 lakh attendees from over 100 countries, with participation from more than 500 partners and exhibitors, 600 startups and 900 thought leaders.

With over 2,000 technology use cases and more than 120 sessions lined up, IMC 2026 is set to provide a platform for showcasing innovations, forging industry partnerships and examining the opportunities emerging from the convergence of connectivity, artificial intelligence, advanced electronics and digital infrastructure.

The four-day event comes at a time when technological transformation is increasingly shaping businesses, public services and consumer experiences, with IMC seeking to position India as a key hub for innovation, collaboration and next-generation digital technologies.
