Responding to an overwhelming response from photographers and photography enthusiasts across Odisha, Tata Power-led Odisha DISCOMs have extended the submission deadline for the fourth edition of their popular photography contest, ‘Oh My Beautiful Odisha 4.0’, to September 27, 2026.

Themed ‘Treasures of Odisha’, the contest invites participants to capture the many facets of the state through their lenses—from its rich heritage, vibrant traditions, indigenous art forms and magnificent architecture to its breathtaking landscapes, people, stories and serene destinations. The initiative encourages photography enthusiasts to look beyond the familiar and present Odisha through their own distinctive perspectives.

 strong response received so far has prompted the organisers to provide participants with an additional week to explore, capture and submit their interpretations of Odisha’s beauty and cultural richness. From spectacular natural landscapes and colourful traditions to intimate everyday moments, the state offers an extraordinary range of subjects and stories waiting to be captured.

Adding to the appeal of the contest, 13 photographs will be selected for inclusion in the Tata Power-led Odisha DISCOMs Calendar 2027, with 12 photographs representing the months of the year and one selected for the cover. The selected photographers will receive due credit wherever their photographs are used, subject to the nature and format of the publication or communication medium. Winners will also receive attractive cash prizes in recognition of their contribution and the selection of their work for official use.

The contest also provides wider recognition to participating photographers, with the Top 50 selected photographs receiving certificates acknowledging their creativity, originality and distinctive perspectives. Entries will be evaluated on parameters including composition, creativity, originality, authenticity, storytelling and adherence to the theme. The winners will be announced at a live event celebrating the photographers and the unique stories reflected through their selected photographs.

With the revised deadline, photography enthusiasts now have one more opportunity to showcase their creative vision and celebrate Odisha through the power of imagery. The final date for submission is September 27, 2026.

Participants must ensure that each photograph is under 10 MB and is submitted through the designated contest link along with their name, mobile number, email ID, city and a brief description of the photograph. Only colour photographs will be accepted; black-and-white and toned photographs will not qualify.

All entries must be the participant’s original, unpublished work, with the participant being the sole copyright owner. Photographs must not contain or incorporate third-party material or violate any third party’s publicity, privacy or intellectual property rights. Entries must also comply with all applicable laws and regulations, and participants must be able to provide a high-resolution digital file of any shortlisted photograph.

Photographers who participated in previous editions are welcome to take part again, but they must submit fresh and new entries. Photographs submitted in earlier editions will not be considered. Each winner will also be required to sign a declaration vetted by the legal team confirming the originality of the photograph and certifying that no filters or AI-generated or AI-enhanced elements have been used.

Upon selection, shortlisted photographs will become the property of Tata Power-led Odisha DISCOMs, which may use them in official publications, calendars, campaigns, digital platforms, social media, promotional materials and other communication initiatives. Photographers will be given due credit wherever their photographs are used, subject to the nature and format of the relevant medium. The cash prizes will recognise the participants’ contribution and the selection of their work for official use, in accordance with the applicable terms and conditions.
