Gajanan S. Kale,
Chief of Odisha Distribution Business and CEO of TP Central Odisha Distribution
Limited (TPCODL), has been honoured with the prestigious ‘Times Icons of Odisha
2026’ award for his contribution to the transformation of the power sector and
energy ecosystem in Odisha.
The award, instituted
by The Times of India, was presented
to Kale by Odisha Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati at a ceremony held at a private
hotel in Bhubaneswar. Kale was recognised under the category “Excellence in
Energy Leadership & Power Sector Transformation.”
The recognition
highlights his leadership in strengthening power distribution, enhancing
consumer services and advancing technology-driven initiatives across Central
Odisha. Under his leadership, TPCODL has continued to focus on improving power
supply reliability, digitalising consumer services, deploying technology-led
solutions and promoting sustainable energy initiatives.
The award comes as
the power distribution sector in Odisha continues to evolve with greater
emphasis on reliability, digital transformation and consumer-centric service
delivery. TPCODL, a joint venture between Tata Power and the Government of
Odisha, serves millions of consumers across Central Odisha.
Speaking on receiving
the honour, Kale said the recognition reflects the collective efforts of the
entire TPCODL team and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to consumers.
