Tata Power-led Odisha DISCOMs celebrated the winners of the third edition of their flagship photography contest, ‘Oh My Beautiful Odisha 3.0,’ at a grand ceremony in Bhubaneswar, marking a vibrant showcase of the state’s ecological richness and creative talent. Organised by the four Odisha DISCOMs — TPCODL, TPNODL, TPWODL and TPSODL — the initiative drew enthusiastic participation from photographers across the state.

Centred on the theme “Wildlife and Biodiverse Landscapes of Odisha,” the contest received more than 1,100 entries that vividly portrayed the state’s natural splendour. From dense forests and serene wetlands to colourful birdlife and majestic wildlife, the submissions offered powerful visual narratives celebrating Odisha’s biodiversity.

The event was graced by Ramakrishna Vedala, Regional Secretary, Lalit Kala Academy, Regional Centre, Bhubaneswar (Ministry of Culture, Government of India), as Chief Guest. The ceremony was further attended by the CEOs of the Tata Power-led Odisha DISCOMs — Gajanan Kale, Chief, Odisha Distribution Business & CEO, TPNODL; Arvind Singh, CEO, TPCODL; Parveen Kumar Verma, CEO, TPWODL; and Amit Garg, CEO, TPSODL — along with other senior officials and staff members.

Thirteen winners were felicitated, with their photographs earning a place in the Odisha DISCOMs 2026 Calendar, providing them with recognition across the state.

Speaking at the event, Ramakrishna Vedala appreciated the initiative for fostering creative expression while deepening awareness about biodiversity and conservation. He commended the participants for capturing Odisha’s ecological wealth with remarkable sensitivity and artistic vision.

Addressing the gathering, Gajanan Kale, Chief, Odisha Distribution Business & CEO, TPNODL, said, “The overwhelming response to ‘Oh My Beautiful Odisha 3.0’ reflects the deep bond people share with Odisha’s natural environment. The participants have beautifully captured the state’s rich biodiversity through their lens. This initiative goes beyond a photography contest, it is a celebration of Odisha’s ecological wealth and a collective effort to strengthen conservation awareness. I sincerely thank and congratulate all participants for becoming true ambassadors of our state’s ecological heritage.”

Now in its third consecutive year, ‘Oh My Beautiful Odisha’ has evolved into one of the most impactful community-driven initiatives of the Tata Power-led Odisha DISCOMs. While the first edition highlighted scenic landscapes and the second focused on cultural heritage and traditions, the third edition aligns with sustainability priorities by spotlighting wildlife and biodiversity.

Through ‘Oh My Beautiful Odisha 3.0,’ the Odisha DISCOMs have reaffirmed their commitment to sustainability, community engagement and environmental stewardship, creating meaningful platforms that connect citizens with the state’s natural and cultural identity.
