In a remarkable academic feat, Bhavesh Patra of ALLEN Career Institute, Bhubaneswar, has emerged as the Odisha State Topper in the JEE Main January 2026 session by securing a perfect 100 percentile. The results, announced by the National Testing Agency (NTA), recorded 12 candidates across the country achieving a 100 NTA score, with Bhavesh being the sole topper from Odisha.

Announcing the results, ALLEN Bhubaneswar Centre Head Rajneesh Srivastava said Bhavesh, a long-term classroom student of the institute, has consistently demonstrated academic excellence and disciplined preparation. He added that the institute expects more than 100 of its students to score above the 99 percentile mark, while over 400 students are likely to secure more than 90 percentile in the January session.

At the national level, ALLEN Career Institute CEO Nitin Kukreja said that the institute has once again reaffirmed its strong performance in one of India’s most competitive engineering entrance examinations. Of the 12 students who secured 100 percentile nationwide, seven are from ALLEN’s classroom programmes. Kota classroom student Kabeer Chhillar achieved a perfect score of 300 out of 300, while Arnav Gautam, Shubham Kumar, Bhavesh Patra, Anay Jain, Nimy Purohit and Chiranjib Kar also secured 100 percentile scores. The institute said its results have been validated by leading audit firm EY India to ensure authenticity and transparency.

Bhavesh Patra, son of Chartered Accountant Biswajit Patra and Jayashree Behera, attributed his success to sustained hard work, conceptual clarity and regular self-assessment. Born on April 25, 2008, he has been associated with ALLEN’s classroom programme for several years and earlier scored 97.6 percent in Class 10.

Sharing his preparation strategy, Bhavesh said he focused on building strong fundamentals, attended classes regularly and practised assignments and study material thoroughly. He emphasised the importance of taking every test seriously, noting that regular testing helped him identify weak areas and improve them systematically. He also maintained a disciplined self-study schedule, revised difficult topics multiple times and managed his time carefully.

Currently, Bhavesh is preparing for JEE Advanced and aims to pursue a B.Tech degree from one of the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology, setting his sights on a career in engineering and technological innovation.
