      Reinforcing its unparalleled legacy of academic excellence, Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) has once again achieved a perfect 100 per cent pass rate in the matriculation examination, extending its remarkable streak to 19 consecutive years. The outstanding performance in the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha, examination further underscores KISS's unwavering commitment to quality education and holistic empowerment of tribal students.

The results of the matriculation examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha, were declared on Saturday. While the overall pass percentage in the state stood at an impressive 95.33 per cent, the students of KISS once again by achieved a flawless 100 per cent pass rate.

This year, a total of 2,031 students from KISS appeared for the examination. Of them, nearly 50 per cent secured more than 60 per cent marks, while the remaining students passed in the second division with scores exceeding 50 per cent.

Among the successful candidates, Sucheta Soren emerged as the school topper by securing an impressive 568 marks, bringing laurels to the institution.

The performance of students from Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) was equally commendable. A total of 131 students belonging to communities such as Saura, Bonda, Juanga, Khadia, Lodha, and Paudi Bhuyan appeared for the examination. Of these, 46 students secured first division marks, reflecting KISS's commitment to empowering some of the country's most marginalised communities through quality education.

Adding to the institution's achievement, students from the neighbouring state of Jharkhand, who are pursuing their studies at KISS, also performed exceptionally well and registered excellent results in this year's matriculation examination.

Expressing immense happiness over the stellar performance, KIIT and KISS Founder Dr. Achyuta Samanta congratulated all the successful students. He noted that these young achievers are the first generation in their families to receive formal education. Their success, he said, is a testament to the unwavering dedication of teachers, their constant mentorship, and the relentless hard work and determination of the students themselves.

Dr. Samanta also conveyed his heartfelt gratitude to the teachers, staff, and all those associated with KISS for their invaluable contribution in sustaining the institution's tradition of excellence year after year.
