The Odisha AM/NS India Kho Kho High Performance Centre (HPC) reaffirmed its growing legacy in nurturing future sports champions as its athletes delivered an inspiring performance at the 69th Odisha State School Kho Kho Tournament 2025–26, held at D.N. High School, Keonjhar. The tournament witnessed intense competition and exceptional sporting spirit, with U-17 category matches held from November 6 to 8 and U-14 category contests from November 8 to 10.
Among the standout performers were the Puri Boys team, crowned champions in the U-17 category, with HPC athletes Subham Biswal, Sunil Naik and Saurav Nayak playing crucial roles in their team’s title-winning run. Matching this triumph was the Bhubaneswar Girls team, which clinched the U-17 championship backed by impressive performances from HPC talents including Lisarani Raita, Subhashree Mallick, Raktima Bhanda and Chinmayee Pradhan, who displayed remarkable agility and strategy throughout the tournament. In the U-14 Boys division, the Puri Boys team once again lifted the championship trophy, bolstered by the contributions of young HPC prospects Aditya Das and Subham Dalai.
This year, 16 highly trained athletes from the Odisha AM/NS India Kho Kho HPC represented districts across the state, reflecting the centre’s commitment to nurturing well-rounded sporting talent. The U-17 boys’ category featured skilled players such as Subham Biswal, Sunil Naik, Saurav Nayak, Samikshya Biswal, Ramlal Birua and Bijay Tuika, while the U-17 girls’ lineup included Lisarani Raita, Subhashree Mallick, Raktima Bhanda, Chinmayee Pradhan, G. Nandini, Bhagyashree Nayak, Tefransis Rana and Lipina Nath. The U-14 boys’ group showcased the promise of emerging athletes like Aditya Das and Subham Dalai. Many of these players expressed gratitude to the HPC for offering advanced training facilities—from strength conditioning and endurance development to match simulations and tactical coaching—which helped refine their performance and elevate their competitive mindset.
