TP Central Odisha Distribution Limited (TPCODL), a joint venture between Tata Power and the Government of Odisha, has launched an impactful Solar Energy Awareness and Engagement Camp at the renowned Baliyatra Fair in Cuttack, one of Asia’s largest trade and cultural events that celebrates Odisha’s rich maritime heritage.
As part of its ongoing commitment to sustainable energy solutions, TPCODL is highlighting the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana – Utility-Led Aggregation (ULA) model, demonstrating how easily consumer
s can transition to rooftop solar systems. The initiative is designed to educate attendees about the environmental and economic benefits of solar energy, while simplifying the registration and installation process through easy online access.
In addition to the awareness campaign, TPCODL is ensuring a seamless experience for all at the sprawling 130-acre fairground by providing uninterrupted 24/7 power supply, enhancing the comfort of both exhibitors and visitors. At the camp, TPCODL representatives are actively engaging with thousands of attendees, answering questions, distributing informational leaflets, and guiding interested consumers on how they can kickstart their solar energy journey. Visitors can sign up directly at the camp or register online to benefit from the ULA scheme.
Commenting on the initiative, Arvind Singh, CEO, TPCODL, said, “Baliyatra offers an incredible opportunity to connect with the public and promote clean, affordable energy. Since its launch on November 5, the TPCODL camp has attracted thousands of visitors, with strong engagement expected to continue through November 12.
