Honda India Foundation (HIF), the CSR arm of all Honda group companies in India, has launched a Sports Talent Nurturing Program in partnership with Manav Rachna Sports Academy (MRSA), Faridabad. The initiative aims to identify and develop sporting talent among underprivileged children by offering structured coaching, scientific training, and competitive exposure in badminton and table tennis.

The launch event was attended by Vinay Dhingra, Trustee, Honda India Foundation; Rajeev Taneja, Operating Officer, Honda India Foundation; Amit Bhalla, Vice President, Manav Rachna Educational Institutions; and Rajiv Mathur, Chief Executive Officer, KEDMAN SkillEd India Foundation, along with other representatives from HIF and Manav Rachna University.

Introduced as a pilot project, the program will support 30 shortlisted children, providing them professional coaching and systematic training under expert trainers from MRSA at Honda Samajik Vikas Kendra, Naurangpur. The trainees will receive specialized guidance and opportunities to participate in district-level competitions.

Manav Rachna Sports Academy, as the implementation partner, will draw on its extensive experience in athlete development, advanced coaching infrastructure, and exposure platforms to deliver holistic support to the selected beneficiaries.

Aligned with the country’s broader sports development goals, the initiative seeks to create equitable access to quality training and opportunities. Over time, it aims to build strong grassroots-level talent pipelines, opening avenues for competitive sports, scholarships, and sports-related careers for young aspirants from underserved communities.
